Located in in Northeastern Pennsylvania, is a popular destination for tourism and camping enthusiasts known as Lake Como. Lake Como is part of Wayne County, and hosts a variety of Summer and Springtime events that will make any American road-trip vacation, one to remember. The population of Lake Como’s surrounding region, in Wayne County is close to fifty thousand people, and has a differing amount of terrains and bodies of water. Rich in early and modern American history, is the Wayne County seat, Honesdale. Visitors who come to experience the majestic Lake Como, tend to enjoy the historical importance Honesdale has to offer. This city is also a favored place to lodge, if camping is not your style. One of the more favored resort spots is in the Poconos Mountain region. The resort known as Cove Haven is an exquisite all inclusive four star establishment, that attracts thousands of vacationers throughout the year, but primarily during the winter months, when the mountains are perfect for skiing, snowboarding, and other Winter-time recreational activities.

Lake Como, itself is home to a variety of exciting and fun attractions such as water-skiing, camping, fishing, and hiking while discovering awe-striking beauty in the ever-unique Pennsylvanian forests. Tourists love to bring their families along on their Lake Como vacations, especially during the summer time, due to the many Summer events that the region hosts, for children and adults as well. There is a variety of youth Summer Camps, and one in particular is Camp Lohikan. This establishment has been family owned and operated since the 1950’s and is a slice of American history all on it’s own. The residential Summer camp welcomes children between the ages of six and fifteen, for exciting, enriching and educational adventures during the Summer months in the majestic Poconos Mountains, on Lake Como.
